Richard Gere Helps Immigrants Cross Border. The Ensuing Conflict Was Serious

Actor Richard Gere after being filmed in a non-governmental anchor helping migrants cross the border got a surprise for his private Jat.

To raise awareness, Richard helped the migrants to Lampedusa Island, where he boarded a boat, posed with them, and distributed hot meals.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini as soon as he heard the news got in touch with Gere where he informed him that he was violating the Italian immigration law. He told Gere that since he wanted to help immigrants let them take to his private Jet and offer shelter in the many houses he has. This came as a surprise to Gere and caught him unprepared. Of course, he would not do such a thing.

To save Italy’s economy and culture, Salvini ordered all immigrants coming mainly from North Africa to return to their country. Richard did not agree with this decision.

He asked the Italian state to accept their accommodation. This did not happen. Only Malta agreed to take 9 of them who had been photographed with him.

Conflicts with Salvini continued until he was forced to withdraw from what he was doing. It’s easy to be charitable with other people’s money. In reality, the political stunt cost Gere nothing.

Those who suffered it were the emirates returning to where they had come from.

What do you think about this story? Should Richard Gere have taken over the housing of some of them? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below on Facebook.
